Tuesday, July 21 – Prague Venice The Venice of Prague
The view from close to the water’s surface will enable you to view Prague from a completely different perspective. We will see the unique panorama of Prague Castle and the Petřín lookout tower and will sail down the canal near the Lesser Town bank, which has been called Čertovka since time immemorial. The water wheel of the Grand Prior’s Mill makes a majestic impression there.
An unusual scene consisting of a new and unexpected view of the monuments of Prague will stretch out before us from the surface of the Vltava. In the past, only fishermen and raftsmen saw Prague like this.
We will also see other unique places of interest, such as the Old Town Mills, the National Theatre, the Lichtenstein Palace, the Monastery of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star and other architectural gems.
We will sail under the Mánes Bridge and immediately be confronted with a view of the Hanau Pavilion at Letná, the Kramář Villa, the Straka Academy, the Metronome at Letná and other interesting buildings in Kosárov and on the Dvořák Embankment.
The bridges of Prague are unique and this does not only mean Charles Bridge.
